Help with Unexplained Infertility
The diagnosis of ‘unexplained infertility’ can create feelings of helplessness and frustration in couples who long to become parents as
there is no answer or apparent ‘fix’. Yet, in many ways, this diagnosis is good news – there is no physical reason why you may not become parents. You are not infertile, you just have not conceived yet.
The even better news is that there are many simple things which can help to improve your chances of conception. For instance, the way we live can have a big effect on the reproductive system of both men and women. Increasing your fertility outcome is something you can both do for unexplained infertility. You can make sure you and your partner are eating healthily, and eliminate habits that may lower your chances of conceiving.
Stress and Anxiety and Unexplained Infertility
Stress and anxiety can have a big effect on fertility. Stress hormones affect the hypothalamus and pituitary glands and reproductive organs. In women under stress, the reproductive hormone prolactin is over-produced and this can interfere with ovulation. The hypothalamus stops secreting gonadotrophin hormone, which in turn will affect the release of both the luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone. As these hormones stimulate ovulation – fertility is affected.
Treating Unexplained Infertility with Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is exceptionally beneficial for unexplained infertility.
Hypnosis affects the hypothalamus—the neural centre at the base of the brain linked to the pituitary gland—and controls the flow of hormones in the body. The hypothalamus is sensitive to stress and acts as a bridge between the emotional and physical, turning emotional messages into physical responses that affect hormone levels. It allows for hormonal rebalancing.
I help you to let go of the stress you have been holding on to, using specialised relaxation, and breathing techniques.
Hypnotherapy teaches you to let go of any emotional blocks or worries you may have that can create infertility issues – Hypnotherapy can help you identify and process emotional issues that might be interfering with conception.
The Cycle Negative Thinking and Its Impact on Unexplained Infertility
It is easy to get into a cycle of negative thinking so we work together to bring about positive attitudes and beliefs. The mind and body are inextricably linked, and we work with you to enable you to imagine and create positive outcomes – from being able to see yourself pregnant to being able to visualize embryos embedding while undergoing egg harvesting or implantation in IVF.
